Westbourne Grove
Once the seedy-side of Bayswater, Westbourne Grove is now a very up-market area full of amazingly chic and trendy restaurants, bars and shops.
Take a stroll from the bottom of Queensway to this new little area and you could easily think you're in Kensington or Knightsbridge.

The change is dramatic and even more so is the use of part of a lovely old church (still in use) for more of these trendy and popular shops. Even more amazing is the sight of the church lit-up at night.
The area still has it's local pubs and is just a stones throw away from Portobello Road and the market.
The range of Antique and Art shops has increased and on Saturday the area is packed to overflowing with tourists and locals alike looking for antique bargains.
Restaurants like Planet Organic and Fresh Juice outlets and many of the old favorites like the Portuguese chain of Nando's who sell mainly spicy chicken with chips, rice and tantalizing salads. For vegetarians there's corn on the cob, veggie burgers and pittas.
Carluccio's has center position on one stretch of the road opposite where Chepstow Road cuts across the Grove and links this area with Notting Hill. (5 minute walk away).
On the other side of the road is 'Ricos' a Portuguese coffee shop with a great terrace overlooking Westbourne Grove. Further along this side of the road are upmarket boutiques, antique shops and restaurants.

Rodizio Rico's Brazilian churrascaria is a meat-eaters paradise. Chilled out atmosphere and friendly people.
If you like Greek food then don't miss Aphrodite's which is just off the Grove in Hereford Road.

Traditional Greek dishes and lots of delicious deserts, fruits, coffee and lovely Greek music. There's also a Greek coffee shop next door.
TIP! - A great way to spend a Saturday afternoon is to start at Portobello Road and work your way down the Grove to Whiteleys in Queensway.
If you still have some energy, go to the top of Queensway, cross over the Bayswater Road and you're in Kensington Gardens.
Weather permitting, enjoy a drink at the cafe outside the Diana Memorial Playground or have tea and cakes at the Orangery.
If you have time, visit Kensington Palace and then 5 minutes away is Kensington High Street where you can enjoy some shopping.
