If you like bookshops then you'll love the huge Waterstones Piccadilly bookshop which is located right on Piccadilly.

Once the home of the very famous Simpson's department store, this very popular bookshop opened it's doors to the public in September 1999.

The bookshop has hosted numerous book signing events and President Clinton, Sir Paul McCartney and Hillary Clinton are just a few of the celebrities you will see here.

There are eight floors and six are dedicated to books - 150,000 titles are in stock and there are over eight and a half miles of shelving.


Waterstones is the perfect place to come to browse for books at any time of the year but especially good for special occasions and if you're looking for books on London.

When you need a break there's a cafè in the basement where you can have drinks and snacks and read the paper or magazines.

For something a little harder try the 5th floor Bar which not only has panaromic views of London, but also a huge selection of beers and cocktails.

For lunch or dinner there's a variety of snacks such as tarts and other dishes you can enjoy with one of the famous beers or... just indulge in one of the amazing cocktails.
