Things for Children to do in LONDON
With so many things for children to do in London, you should have no problem in keeping them amused for hours!
The major attraction at the moment is the London Eye which is like a giant ferris wheel with glass capsules which give you fantastic views of London.
You can take your kids to the amazing Tower of London where many Royals spent their last days. This makes a lovely day out for all the family and the Crown Jewels are stunning.
There are some great museums with fun activities which as well as educating them, keep them amused and happy for hours!
Definitely worth a visit is the Museum for Children at the V&A Museum of Childhood at Cambridge Heath Road, London E2 9PA. Nearest Tube: Bethnal Green.
London is full of Parks & Gardens so there's plenty of room for the kids to let off steam and enjoy themselves. Kensington Gardens has the Diana Memorial children's playground and there's a lovely pond where children can sail boats and fly kites.
You can hire a pony or horse in Hyde Park and if you're lucky you can also enjoy one of the rock festivals or fairs which are often on. If you feel like ice skating or bowling there's Queens Ice Rink just across the road in Queensway opposite Kensington Gardens.
London Aquarium is one of Europe's largest displays of aquatis life and home to up to 400 species in over 50 displays, from sharks, stingrays and clownfish, to moray eels, lionfish and sideways walking crabs.
London Zoo in Regents Park and Madam
Tussauds and the London Planetarium are close to Baker Street and very popular for all the family to visit.
When children feel peckish there are many popular pizza and hamburger places to go and two of the most popular are the Rain Forest and Hard Rock Cafe in Piccadilly. The Trocadero is also in Piccadilly and in Regents Street is the famous Hamleys which is the greatest toy shop of them all.

If you feel like splashing out, you can always take a trip on the Eurostar and visit Disney World Paris and if your kids like films they'll love the London Childrens Film Festival.
Outside of central london there are Theme Parks which are always high on children's agenda. The popular Thorpe Park is about 20 mins drive from London with Chessington World of Adventures is about the same and Alton Towers is in Staffordshire (about two hours from London).
