The glamourous Tamarai restaurant in Covent Garden is a pageant of pan-Asian cuisine, combining flavours from India, Burma, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam to showcase the finest and most flavourful dishes to be found on the Lotus Trail.
The gleaming candelabras and rich dark colours of the exotic interior attract a fashionable Covent Garden crowd who keep the atmosphere buzzing late into the night, aided by the stylish bar with its award-winning wine list.
Tamarai's head chef, Manish Mehrotra, has travelled and trained extensively throughout Asia and supervises a team of specialists in each cuisine, including a master chef from Chettinad, India.
The bar is also a major reason why Tamarai is one of the most popular late night destinations in London. Awarded Best Late Night Bar in the UK in 2008 and recognised with the award for the Best Wine List in London by The Independent, Tamarai Bar has an in-house DJ and Video Jockey who bring the bar to life with multiple LCD screens showing specially created video images synchronised to the music.
Diners at Tamarai can also enjoy a late night license and complementary parking in the building; rare amenities for London restaurants.
Dinner is served from 17:30 to 23:30.
The late night bar is open until 02:00 Monday to Thursday, and 03:00 on Friday and Saturday.
