Southbank Centre
The Southbank Centre is a very trendy, buzzing area of London full of culture and entertainment.
Following the £91 million refurbishment of the Royal Festival Hall and the £20 million redevelopment of the surrounding area, the centre was relaunched in June 2007.
The centre consists of three iconic buildings - Royal Festival Hall which is at the heart of the complex.
The Queen Elizabeth Hall is the second largest concert hall on the site and as well as the main concert hall, the Queen Elizabeth Hall also contains two smaller venues, the Purcell Room and The Front Room at the QEH.
The Hayward Gallery is the pulse of the visual arts of the centre.
In addition to putting on major exhibitions and commissioning new artworks, the Hayward also organises projects, installations and talks across the site.
The centre is situated on Southbank next to the very popular London Eye.
There are restaurants and bars and just a few minutes from the Centre are the Royal National Theatre, Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.
