Royal Academy of Arts |
||||||||||
The Royal Academy of Arts is Britain's national academy of art and holds an amazing amount of exhibitions and events throughout the year.
Founded in 1768 by George III, the Academy receives no financial support
and its principal source of revenue is hosting temporary public
art exhibitions.
Since 2004, the highlights of the Academy's permanent
collection have been on display in the John Madejski Fine
Rooms. There are Free Gallery Talks in these rooms which consist of a
45 minute free introductory talk exploring the exhibition. Free Lunchtime lectures operate on a first come, first served principle.
