Oxford Street London
...Top West End, Shopping in London

Oxford Street has one and a half miles of amazing London
shops and
department stores.
Famous names such as Selfridges, John Lewis and Debenhams line the street.
Most large London departmental stores have in-store restaurants and bars, toilets and baby facilities.
This famous street begins at Marble Arch and stretches to Oxford Circus and then continues down until you reach the junction of Tottenham Court and Charing Cross Road which is just a few yards away from the lively area of Soho.
This area is being re-developed into a new 'gateway' to Oxford Street with a huge injection of over £2 billion which includes a new Crossrail station and a new Tube station at Tottenham Court Road due to finish in 2012.
At the moment you reach Charing Cross Road by walking around Centre Point where there is going to be a public plaza, much wider pavements, more shops and apartments and much improved cycling facilities.
Close to Covent Garden & Bloomsbury...
This is close to the trendy areas of
Covent Garden and
Bloomsbury where the stunning
British Museum is located.
Throughout the year the shops are overflowing with shoppers and the nearby restaurants, cafes, pubs and fruit sellers are a welcome site when you need to recharge your batteries.
Boutiques, Restaurants & Bars...
Don't forget to enjoy the surround street which are full of wonderful shops, bars and restaurants. Just behind
Selfridges is

One of the most famous shopping streets in Europe...
Probably one of the busiest shopping streets in Europe and sales times are truly amazing. Those who go early (sometimes the queues start from the previous evening) can pick up really good bargains.
This is one of the most popular areas in London for shopping and there are many lovely restaurants where you can re-charge your batteries. If you haven't been here before it's worth investing in a
