Oxford Street

oxford street

Oxford Street has one and a half miles of amazing shops and department stores such as Selfridges, John Lewis and Debenhams.

This famous street begins at Marble Arch crosses over Oxford Circus and continues down until you reach the junction of Tottenham Court which is close to the areas of trendy Covent Garden and Bloomsbury where the British Museum is.

Throughout the year the shops are overflowing with shoppers and the nearby restaurants, cafes and pubs are a welcome site when you need to recharge your batteries.

Most large London departmental stores have in-store restaurants and bars, toilets and baby facilities so you can spend an entire day shopping.

This is probably one of the busiest shopping streets in Europe and sales times are truly amazing. Those who go early (sometimes the queues start from the previous evening) can pick up really good bargains.
