Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House

27 July - 7 August 2011 London's most beautiful open-air cinema, returns to The Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court at
Somerset House.
This twelve-day series features UK premieres (Pedro Almodovar's The Skin I Live In); film classics (Billy Wilder's The Apartment); and cult classics (a Serpico/Shaft double bill) amongst many others.
If you arrive early, you can picnic in the magnificent Somerset House courtyard while DJs play, or attend one of the fascinating companion events as part of Behind the Screen with BAFTA.
All this before the sun dips down, the stars come out and the projector starts rolling for the cinematic event of the summer.
Doors open 18.30, DJs from 19.30 and films start at 21.15. Rugs and cushions are available to buy or bring your own.

The Scoop’s 1,000-seat amphitheatre, near Tower Bridge is a great place to watch an open-air movie during the summer months and incredibly it is FREE.
Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday lunchtime and evening throughout July enjoy the Music as part of the More London Free Festival.
Showcasing a huge variety of musical talent, in the open-air amphitheatre there is something to suit everyone's taste.
No need to book, no tickets required just turn up and take your seat.
This year’s schedule includes The King’s Speech and The Social Network.
On the banks of the Serpentine in Hyde Park, you are invited to cinema under the stars.
