The National Portrait Gallery is the perfect place to come and admire various types of portraits of famous Brits ranging from the Beatles to Queen Elizabeth I.

The Gallery holds daytime and evening talks and events and on Friday music series, conferences and courses.

As well as all the lovely portraits, there's a great selection of places to eat and drink such as the Portrait Cafe, Portrait Restaurant (with amazing panaromic views of London) and the lounge and bar.

The Portrait Café

(Located by the bookshop on the lower ground floor)
A selection of light meals which focus on British dishes.
Opening hours:
Saturday to Wednesday: 10am to 5.30pm
Thursday to Friday: 10am to 8.30pm

Portrait Restaurant and Bar

The roof-top restaurant is on the third floor and diners can enjoy spectacular views of some of London's greatest attractions such as Trafalgar Square, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye.

The 80 seat Portrait Restaurant is open for lunch and two evenings a week - Thursday and Friday when the Gallery has extended opening hours - More Info - Book Online.
