London Weather

London weather can be good but it's also very changeable!

It's been known to snow in April and can become very hot in September. However, with the effects of global warming, London is definitely warming up.

It can still rain when you least expect it to so be prepared... always check the weather before leaving home!

Spring

This is a lovely time to visit London! Parks and gardens are full of daffodils, crocuses and bluebells and there's an air of expectancy about this great city.

People start to sing and whistle and smiles appear once again on the faces of Londoners.

Summer

London can be very hot during the summer months and this is a wonderful time to discover this great city.

The lovely parks and gardens are overflowing with tourists and Londoners enjoying picnics and ice-cream and the restaurants and bars are a great place to relax on a terrace and soak up your favorite drink and the sun.

Autumn

The smell of roasting chestnuts in London streets is awesome at this time of year.

The leaves in the parks and gardens are turning amazing colors of red and gold and children and the young at heart love crunching in the leaves and playing a traditional game of 'conkers'.

Winter

If you like the cold then you'll love winter in London as it's a time for wrapping up with scarves and thick coats and going ice skating.

It's always warmer in London than in the surrounding areas but still very chilly with January and February normally being the coldest months.
