London Travel Card
Oyster Card
A great way to get around London is with a London Travel Card. They are used to travel all over London and cover different areas or ZONES of the city.
London is divided into 6 Zones and Zones 1 & 2 cover central London. Zone 6 covers the outer areas of London such as Heathrow Airport.
Off-Peak Travel Cards cost far less and operate after 9.30am from Monday to Friday. Should you need to travel before this time then it's best to get a Peak Travelcard.
Prices vary and are liable to change but at the moment an Off-Peak Adult Travel Card costs £4.90
Children under 5 go FREE
Children 5- 15 can have a travelcard covering ALL zones for £2.00
Up to 4 children pay £1 each when accompanied by any adult rate valid Travelcard holder.

Oyster Card
Most Londoners use an Oyster Card which you can top-up at kiosks and the London Underground.
It's the cheapest way to make single journeys in the Capital and can be used on London buses, the tube, trams, Docklands Light Railway (DLR), London Overground and some London Trains (National Rail services) in London.
When you first buy an Oyster card you will need to pay a refundable £3 deposit if you are only adding cash to pay as you go - Oyster Card.
Note: You can now use your Oyster card to pay as you go on National Rail services across Greater London - Oyster on National Rail. Your Oyster card is now valid for travel on bus, Tube, tram, DLR, London Overground and National Rail services.
Important - Remember to touch in at the start of each journey and touch out at the end to ensure you pay the correct fare - on bus and tram you need only touch in.
