London Public Transport

...London Underground, London Buses, London Trains

London public transport comprises of... London Buses, the London Tube (Underground) and London Trains.

London Buses

London Bus Oxford Street

London is famous for the red double decker buses but unfortunately you can no longer jump on and off them like you used to. At the moment only the No 9 and No 15 are still working as they travel on the london bus routes to the Tower of London. Unless you travel at rush hour, traveling by bus is one of the most enjoyable ways to travel around and you also get the most fantastic views of London.

London (Tube) Underground

Oxford Circus Tube Station

The London Underground (known as the Tube) is another excellent way of getting around London but do try to avoid rush hours as trains can get very packed. There are underground maps you can download and also an excellent journey planner.

London Trains

The quickest and most convenient way to reach London airports is with the Heathrow, Stansted and Gatwick Express.

You can also travel by train from London to Europe with the Eurostar London to Paris. It's easy, affordable and a great alternative to flying.
