London Marathon fever will be hitting the streets of London on Sunday 13 April 2008!
The months of training will soon pay off because on Sunday thousands of runners will race over 26 miles for their favorite charity.
Best places to cheer them on include Surrey Quays, Canary Wharf, Tower of London, Embankment, Parliament Square and finally the Mall and Buckingham Palace. For more information on getting around the course click here.
Every year there's a different sponsor for the race and for 2008 the charity sponsor is Breast Cancer Campaign which helps raise money for breast cancer research.
The race begins at Greenwich Park and Blackheath and will finish at the Mall, St James’s Park near Buckingham Palace.
The first race was run on 29 March 1981. Over the years it has grown and grown and now it's one of the most popular races in the world.
People come from all over the world to compete in this great event and on Sunday 13 April, thousands will be lining the streets of London to cheer them all on.
