Imagine Children's Festival

Saturday 11th February - Sunday 26th February 2012 The Imagine Childrens Festival at the Southbank Centre invites children and adults to a feast of literature, music, poetry, plays, comedy and lots more.

Children run the festival as part of Kids Takeover, but they also feature in the performances – from playing with the Philharmonia Orchestra to taking a Beastie on a walk - website

Imagine Children's Funfair - FREE EVENT

Friday 10 February 2012 - Sunday 26 February 2012

All the fun of the fair with a traditional carousel and vintage fairground activities, including an Austin J40 kiddies' ride and original 1950s helter skelter and hoop 'la stalls.

Half Term Things To Do

There are many great London Attractions and if you go to the Southbank of London (opposite Big Ben) you can take a ride on the London Eye. This giant ferris wheel with glass capsules enables you to have the most spectacular views of London and the kids will love it.

The London Aquarium and Dali Universe are just some of the exciting places to visit.

The London Dungeon is not far away and across Tower Bridge is the Tower of London.

London Museums

There are some great museums with fun activities which as well as being educational are great fun for kids.

Definitely worth a visit is the Museum for Children at the V&A Museum of Childhood at Cambridge Heath Road, London E2 9PA. Nearest Tube: Bethnal Green.

London Parks

London is full of parks and gardens so during the hot summer months this is a great place to take the kids.

In Kensington Gardens there's the Diana Memorial children's playground and a lovely pond where children can sail boats and fly kites. You can hire a pony or horse in Hyde Park and there many events throughout the year which the kids will love.

London Festivals

London has many festivals throughout the year such as the Lord Mayor's Show and the Notting Hill Carnival which kids love.

Christmas In London

This is a magical time for children to visit London. Many of the famous landmarks such as the Tower of London have open air ice skating in London and Queens Ice Rink in Queensway is open throughout the year. There are many fairs and markets and Hyde Park becomes a magical Winter Wonderland at Christmas.
