Kensington Palace London

Kensington Palace was home to the late Princess Diana and there's an exhibition where you can see many of her evening gowns.

Outside the Palace is a lovely garden where Londoners and visitors love to walk and enjoy the well kept flower-garden and enjoy watching the ducks splashing around in the water.

Kensington Palace Tickets

Whilst the building works close parts of the Palace between 2010 and 2012, only the State Apartments remain open and have become the Enchanted Palace - a mysterious world featuring modern art installations and fashion. It's definitely not a traditional experience!

Please Note: The Palace is closed from the 4th January 2012 to 25 March 2012. It will re open 26 March 2012.

Close by is the Orangery which serves light lunches, coffee and tea, cakes and snacks throughout the year. Definitely the place to enjoy a traditional English Afternoon tea.

Kensington Gardens

The Palace is surrounded by beautiful private gardens and close by are public flower gardens. The Diana Princess of Wales Memorial is located in the southwest corner of Hyde Park south of the Serpentine Lake and east of the Serpentine Gallery.

This is where Queen Victoria spent her childhood and where in 1837, she learned of her accession to the throne.

Her husband Prince Albert died at the early age of 42 in 1861 and the Albert Memorial was commissioned by Queen Victoria in memory of her husband. Opposite the memorial is the Royal Albert Hall.

The palace has been a royal home for over 300 years and parts of the palace remain a private residence for members of the Royal Family today.
