Holland Park
...ROMANTIC London Parks
Opera in the Park

Holland Park is one of London's most romantic
parks renowned for it's peacocks, ducks and swans and during the summer months
open-air opera is held under the canopied theatre.
Conveniently located just off Kensington High Street and Notting Hill this is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a picnic, bottle of wine and meal during the hot summer months in London.
It's also very handy when you need a break from the hustle and bustle of shopping in Kensington High Street.
Restaurants, Cafes, Cricket, Tennis, School and Youth Hostel
Formerly home to an Earl this is one of the prettiest of
London parks and great to visit any time of the year.
The school within the park was once the flagship school of the Labour Party during the 1960s and many Labour MPs children such as Tony Benn's children attended the school.
If you're coming to the park from Kensington High Street you'll find a wide tree-lined road with a cricket pitch, tennis courts and golf bunker.
In 1952 the park was officially opened to the public and Holland House now houses the very popular Youth Hostel and Belvedere Restaurant.
Temporary exhibitions are situated in nearby rooms.
There are many lovely flower gardens and woodland areas full of bluebells and daffodils and roses and many great facilities for children.
These include an adventure garden, 'under eights' area and a very good cafeteria serving sandwiches, pastries and lunches. Nearby is an ice-cream shop where you can buy delicious Italian ice-cream and lollies.
Kyoto Japanese Gardens

The lovely
Kyoto Japanese Gardens were built in 1991 for the London Festival of Japan.
The gardens are a central feature of the park full of flowers, shrubs and ornate features such as a pond with waterfalls and bridges.
