HMV - London Shops

HMV is a very large high street entertainment store in the UK and it's one of three main music megastores in the country alongside Virgin and Tower Records.

The letters stand for His Master's Voice which is a famous trademark in the music business.

For many years this was the name of a large record label and the logo was a small white Jack Russel dog called Nipper listening to a wind-up gramophone.

In 1998 they bought the Waterstone's chain of bookshops which are the UK's biggest high street bookseller.
