Green Park

Green Park

Green Park is one of the London Royal Parks and you'll be struck by just how very green it is.

This is a great place to come when you've been shopping around Piccadilly and need to recharge your batteries.

It's a very popular park with tourists and Londoners because even though it's just off Piccadilly, it's incredibly peaceful and therefore a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of London Town.

Nearby are famous landmarks such as the Ritz Hotel and the Royal Academy of Arts and Buckingham Palace is just a five minute walk away across the park from Piccadilly.

The history of the park shows that it was enclosed by Charles II in 1668 and stocked with deer. Nearly 350 years later in 1826, the park was opened to the general public.
