Beneath the magnificent curved glass roof of the world famous
British Museum, Court Restaurant is set amidst the refined surroundings of academic Bloomsbury.
Above the magnificent court, diners can enjoy a lofty view of the original Reading Room whilst partaking in a selection of international dishes with some appropriately British undertones.
Special complementary menus are often planned at Court Restaurant to coincide with current exhibitions.
The classical columns and striking glass ceiling designed by Norman Foster provide the perfect setting for traditional afternoon tea.
The menu features a selection of classic favourites, along with a unique Viennese-style special. Sumptuous and elegant, afternoon tea is served with freshly made sandwiches and fruit scones with organic strawberry jam and clotted cream.
There is also a range of exquisite pastries by Demel, the Austrian chocolatier. Afternoon tea at The Court Restaurant can be enjoyed with a glass of Champagne or a decadent exhibition cocktail.
