Christmas Shopping in London
Christmas shopping London is full of fun and it's a great time to visit London. The streets are full of the spirit of Christmas and the sound of Carol singers and the scent of hot chestnuts fills the air. Many people do their Christmas shopping early whilst others prefer to wait until Christmas Eve and then enjoy searching London for last minute gifts.
Whatever you do you'll be spoilt for choice as London has literally thousands of shops catering for all tastes and budgets. Over the Christmas period the majority of shops stay open longer.
Christmas VIP day (Very Important Pedestrians)
All traffic is banned from Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street for the entire day. This allows shoppers to have the streets to themselves and they can then take advantage of all the freebies, competitions and discounts which many of the shops will be giving.

Selfridges At Christmas
Most people head for the huge department stores in London such as Selfridges, John Lewis, Harrods and Marks and Spencer.
Others may prefer shopping centers such as Whiteleys in Queensway or Brent Cross in North London. They all have popular shops such as Zara, Gap and Mango plus many independent boutiques, cafes and restaurants.

Popular areas to go shopping are Oxford Street where you'll find many department stores, music stores such as HMV and the number one bookshop branches of Waterstone's.
