Famous for the Bloomsbury Set ...

This group of famous writers, intellectuals, philosophers and artists lived, worked and studied here during the 20th century. They were famous for their informal discussions. Members of the popular group included well-known authors Virginia Woolf, E. M. Forster and economist John Maynard Keynes. The author Charles Dickens lived here for many years (the Dickens Museum is in Doughty Street).

More recently it's famous for being the place where JK Rowling, author of Harry Potter books, was first discovered in a small publishing house in the area.

This is a great place to stay on your visit to London as it's bursting with atmosphere, history and culture. You have everything on your doorstep and there are many popular restaurants nearby which are very popular.
